About Where Can I Live
Where Can I Live is a free, independent tool that helps people worldwide discover where they can comfortably afford to live — based on their salary, household size and lifestyle preferences.
What we do
We estimate the real monthly cost of living in 180+ cities across 90+ countries, score each city on safety, quality of life, internet, healthcare and more, and rank the places that fit your budget and priorities. You can compare up to five cities side by side, or two whole countries.
Where the data comes from
Our cost figures are built from realistic, current cost-of-living references (housing, food, transport, utilities, internet and healthcare) and are kept up to date through our admin panel. Scores are our own editorial assessments on a 0–100 scale.
Please note: all figures are estimates for planning purposes. Costs vary by neighbourhood, season, currency and personal habits. Always verify important figures before making a decision.
Who is behind it
We are a small independent team of travel, finance and data enthusiasts. We are not a moving company, a real-estate agency or an immigration service — we simply help you shortlist the places worth researching further.
